"I dropped by Swango Dance Studio, widely known as the home of West Coast Swing Malaysia, for their Spotlight by the teachers event and it turned out to be a real treat. The studio itself has a welcoming, energetic vibe, and the event showcased five professional pairs performing polished, expressive West Coast Swing routines. As a spectator, it was genuinely enjoyable — the musicality, technique, and chemistry between the dancers made the whole thing feel like a small but high-quality showcase of the local scene. The atmosphere was lively and supportive, and you could really feel the community around the dance. That said, there’s just one thing I’d change: the timing. The showcase started around 12am, which feels a little ungodly for most people who still want to function the next day. If they moved it earlier in the evening, I suspect even more people would turn up and enjoy it. Still, timing aside, it was a fantastic event and a great glimpse into the West Coast Swing community here. 5/5 would come again."

"What a great space and the local home of West Coast Swing in KL. Teachers are really friendly and professional. It's fairly easy to park too. There's a famous fish head noodle downstairs so it's easy to get a meal nearby too."
